Bjørn Palmqvist is a self-taught composer, musician and producer who’s won several awards in Denmark. Worth mentioning are Statens Kunstfond’s composer contest “Det hemmelige mærke” in 1999 and a sizable grant from the same Statens Kunstfond in 2001. His latest album from 2007, Syng Hierte, which was very well received by the critics, interprets psalms and poems by the Danish poet H.A. Brorson, sung by classical soprano Janne Solvang. Previous albums include Reconstruct, which critics named ”a unique point of reference of its genre.” Thomas Magnussen trained at the renowned drama school the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London from 1997-2000. At the school he was taught the ways of classical theatre by some of the world's best teachers. He has among other things been part of the ensemble, which opened the Danish Royal Theatre’s new playhouse in 2008, with a production of Hamlet. Together with friend and colleague Lars Mikkelsen he won the prestigious Danish theatre award “Aarets Reumert” in 2008 for the Shakespeare collage Flammens Muse – Muse of Fire. Two years later they were nominated again for yet another Shakespeare show: their all-male production of Twelfth Night, which marked the opening of the Copenhagen based theatre Republique.
