124| My Dear Love Erasure

Jordan Windholz

PDF

My dear love,
be unfathered.

Weeds, weeds:
flowers gathered

far from accident — it
suffers in smiling

under inviting fashion,
heretic leases,

all alone. It grows,
drowns. I, witness,

die, who have
lived for

Having received his MFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder, Jordan Windholz is currently a PhD candidate in early modern English literature at Fordham University. His dissertation examines representations of male singleness in the drama of Shakespeare and his contemporaries. His first collection of poems, Other Psalms, was selected by Averill Curdy for the 2014 Vassar Miller Prize in poetry. It will be published by the University of North Texas Press in Spring 2015.
